Frequently Asked Questions

Do you measure ROI for your clients?

When companies will share their performance data with us we will.  ROI may result from a number of measurable factors, such as: ability to increase average productivity, ability to reduce turnover and its associated costs, ability to impact the number of new hires required to maintain current staffing levels or to grow the company.  In most cases the ROI is substantially higher than for any other initiative they are pursuing, and typically shows a payback period of much less than one year.

Why is understanding the traits of my top performers so important?

Research shows that almost all companies have A, B, and C players, and that there is a substantial productivity gap between these 3 groups.  Depending on the role in your company, A players could outperform C players anywhere from 50% to 500% on an annual basis.  We show companies how to nearly eliminate the possibility of C players  getting inside your company, and how to greatly increase the odds of hiring A players.

How long does it take to see results?

Individual results are available immediately, and job match patterns can be created within 1 – 2 weeks.  And the results are very user-friendly so you don’t need a psychiatrist or psychologist to interpret the reports for you.

There are thousands of assessment tools out there. What makes yours so special?

You are correct on the first statement. But even though there are thousands to choose from, most of them focus only on personality, which is not usually a very good predictor fo performance.  We use whole-person assessment tools that can reliably predict whether a person is likely to be successful in a particular role in your company in the future.  PeopleRight has access to a variety of tools that are reliable and that can show a significant correlation between scores on the assessment and performance on the job.

How do you price your services?

After an assessment of your company’s needs we generally work in two ways, as follows:

1) We begin by conducting a pilot study on one or two specific areas in your company where there is a substantial performance gap or a history of underperforming employees. This work is conducted as a turnkey project for a specific amount.

2) Once a client has seen the benefits of implementing our tools and processes, ongoing costs are determined by the type of tools selected and the volume used.

What does it take to get started?

PeopleRight will usually conduct a face-to-face meeting for companies in our immediate vicinity (Dallas/Ft. Worth area).  For our clients outside our immediate area, we have started after a conference call and a draft proposal was exchanged via e-mail. Whenever possible, we have delivered the initial pilot results in person.

Do companies ever make bad hiring or development decisions about a person even after they have implemented your tools and processes?

Absolutely, and if you ever talk to someone who tells you otherwise – they are lying.  It isn’t about totally eliminating poor human capital decisions from ever happening again, it is about greatly minimizing the odds that you will continue to make the same mistakes, and dramatically increasing the odds of finding people who are a great match for a specific role on your company.  Typical results for our clients show that we can help them eliminate 70 – 80% of their bad hires, and triple the odds that their next hire will be an A player.

Do you guarantee results?

We do, and here’s how it works.  We take one-half the risk during a pilot study by asking for one-half of our fees up front and the other half after successful completion of the pilot study.  Our clients decide what ‘successful completion’ means.  If our client is not pleased by the pilot study results, they don’t pay the second half.  (Note: To date, no client has ever claimed that they were not satisfied with the pilot results or held payment.)

What makes you different from your competition?

We focus on improving your business results, not selling you products.  We believe the most important predictor of success in any given role in your company is to fully understand what is currently working at your company.  We provide a proven process for measuring what your top employees have in common, and how you can recognize those traits in future employees or develop them more fully in those you already have.  We also have ways to deal with scenarios where you don’t currently have any top performers.

What size companies do you work with?

PeopleRight has clients as small as a single location with 5 employees, up to national and international companies with thousands of employees and over 50 locations.
